Local Advocacy
Conquering ALS is as much a matter of public policy as scientific discovery, and we need your help to change the future of this devastating disease. As an advocate, you will be invited to engage public officials and policymakers in a variety of ways, urging their support for critical legislation and policy changes.
The ALS Association works both federally and locally to advocate on all fronts for the ALS community. Board members, staff, and advocacy specialists in Alabama have made progressive strides in urging legislators to make decisions that will positively impact the lives of people living with ALS and their families.
